My reference for this one was a tattoo that I found on Google image search. I loooooove all the awesomesauce shading and I can't take any credit for it because I totally copied the tattoo. The best way for me to learn has always been study.... then copy..... then apply the knowledge I gained from it to new, original artwork.

What to do on a slow day...

A goal I'm working towards is drawing things that are out of my comfort zone:

First Real Post : 2012 Overview!

So the last couple of weeks, I've been racking my brain on what to blog about first. What do I have to say? What do I WANT to say? I came to the conclusion that if this blog is about my art... and my heart, I should just dive in with no inhibitions or expectations and enjoy the ride. :)
2012 was a big year, artistically, for me. My tattoo apprenticeship is chugging along well, I've gotten to a point where I am proud of each piece I do but at the same time, pushing myself to do better. I'm learning not to settle and to try and reach this "potential" that  all my teachers back in high school said I had!
