Sketch A Day: Rounding Up and Looking to be Inspired

Here's some stuff I've been wanting to post for a while but wasn't able to cause I was waiting to give some of them as presents or they were just work-in-progresses. :)

For Megs and Nick's upcoming little baby boy. She calls him her little moose <3

My friend Amanda wanted to see what would happen in my brain if I brought zombies and Alice in Wonderland together. Result! This will be available shortly for purchase at my Etsy store, theartoflisabond.

I was also lucky enough to tattoo a good friend's mum! This was the design we came up with:

.... And this was the resulting tattoo!

Pretty :) Took about an hour and a quarter. I'm loving how the colour came out on her skin.

Remember this little lady?

Well, I turned her into THIS little lady who is WAY more awesome! :)

She will be available shortly on my Etsy site. :)

The other day, I received a message on my deviantart site (leelab.deviantart.com) from a really nice guy asking me if he could have my permission to get one of my original drawings tattooed on him! Seeing as he lives in the Netherlands, I wasn't going to hassle him to come to me, so I said "Sure! I'd love to see a photo of it when it's finished."

This is the drawing by me

.... and the is what he had tattooed! It's crazy seeing how another artist interprets my work. Very flattered and very cool. :)

Thanks for reading! :)

Sketch A Day: Putting Together My Tattoo Portfolio

Heya! I've finally collected enough decent quality photos of the tattoos I've done to start putting together a portfolio/look-book. I know there are other cool tattoos I've worked on that I would LOVE to take recent, healed photos of but it's hard to track some people down! Contact me at leelabond@hotmail.com if you want to book me for a tattoo! ;)  Here's what I've put together so far:

Sketch A Day: Oh Hey Look, It's April!

Hello and welcome to April!! Sun is shining, change is in the air, and I've hit a wee bit of a creative road block. Due to this annoying happening, I'm re-vamping how I post. I'll keep posting what I'm working on, but I don't think I'll put down dates any more. What you think? If you have an opinion on the matter or have any cool ideas about what you'd like to see on my blog, feel free to leave a comment below. :) On to a short but sweet post!

Cheers,

- Lisa

Turtle turtle turtle! About 1.5 hours

I did this for my husband's cousin's 15th Birthday. Good 'ol William Shakespeare quote.

Leaves I drew for a tattoo client. She came up with most of the original look, I just re-designed them.

Drawn using an awesome tattoo by an artist I LOVE called Nikko as reference. I lost interest due to feeling frustrated that I was drawing someone else's work instead of making up my own, so it's incomplete. About 2 hours.

Rose. About 3 hours.
